Chicago’s South Loop Neighborhood

In the beginning a very long time ago the South Loop was an area comprised of a variety of industries and not a residence to be seen.  Today the South Loop is a vibrant residential area with much to offer people in all stages of life. Location, Location, Location.  This location provides excellent shopping such as DSW (shoes), Home Depot, Dominicks, Jewel, Staples, Target, pharmacies, various boutiques and more.  Spend your free time at the Harold Washington Library, strolling Grant Park, exploring Museum Campus, enjoying a variety of restaurants or the new ICON theatre which is receiving rave reviews. Transportation does not disappoint.  Whether you need expressways or public transportation it is all available within a short distance. Once people move to the South Loop they tend to stay in the South Loop whether they are upgrading or downsizing there is housing to fit every need… single family homes, townhomes, condos, lofts and rentals…everything from a studio to four plus bedrooms. So exactly where is the South Loop you might ask.  The South Loop’s neighborhood parameters are generally considered to be Congress Parkway on the north, Cermak Road on the south, the Chicago River to the west and east to the Lake.  If you are not familiar with the area, pay it a visit and see for yourself what a jewel it is.  For housing information call Ted Guarnero at 312.810.6693 or visit www.SeeChicagoRealEstate.com.
